Description :
A mass casualty incident can overwhelm hospitals and clinics and strain their resources.
Proper preparations and training is required in a health centre to reduce the number of fatalities and increase patient recovery.
Jointly, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Kenya Red Cross donated war wounded kits to Cost General Hospital in Mombasa as well as extended similar support to four other hospitals in Lamu and Garissa counties, in a move to strengthen their preparedness for emergencies that may occur in their respective areas.
