Description :
Due to ongoing clashes, many local communities in Kachin State, Myanmar, are still living in camps for internally displaced persons. Since they can't return to their homes, they now have to relocate. Some people have been displaced by violence for over ten years.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) does its best to meet the basic needs of people living in internally displaced camps or returning to their original homes and it also assists the host communities in Kachin.
In Hka Ka Ran Yang village (Sumprabum township) and the Na Sar resettlement site (Sadung township), both in Kachin State, the ICRC builts 63 houses with kitchens, clean water infrastructure, solar lighting and toilets. 63 families now have a home to call their own.
