Description :
To support communities during the monsoon season,the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) team in Myitkyina provided paddy seeds and organic fertilizers to more than 1,500 families.who are living in displacement camps across Kachin State.
Due to the many years of armed conflict, the farm areas can be contaminated with landmines and unexploded ordnance. Knowing that information can save lives, ICRC team also conducted risk awarness and safe behavior sessions with the communities.
ICRC's combined activities enable families to farm safely, educate them about the risks posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance, and promoto resilience and hope.
