Description : For several years now, Chris Moon has been running in marathons throughout the world to draw the media's attention to the plight of anti-personnel mine victims.
Chris used to be a mine-clearance worker. In 1995, he lost an arm and a leg in a mine explosion, and when he took part in the Marathon des sables, in the Sahara, it was with an artificial limb. On a recent trip to Cambodia, Chris wanted to make sure that the artificial limbs produced in ICRC prosthetic/orthotic workshops were of good quality. He decided to buy one..
