Description :
ICRC activities in Sudan. One year since fighting broke out in Sudan, thousands have been killed and 8.5 million people are displaced. Tens of thousands received food, seeds, blankets and tarpaulins for shelter thanks to the donors. Hundreds of orphans were evacutaed to safety. Hundreds of severely wounded people received life-saving surgery. More than 60'000 people stayed in touch with their loves ones and over 2 million people had access to clean water.
