Theonila lost her father at the age of 3 during the Bougainville crisis.
6 years later, she learns where her father is buried.
After 22 years, her late father's remains were finally exhumed.
This is made possible by the work of the ICRC, which, within the framework of the Geneva Conventions, responds to the needs of families affected by conflict and ensures that the deceased are treated with dignity and respect.
