Description :
Newi in the Tigray region. The story of Tabir Gebreyohannes and her daughter injured by unexploded ordnance. The rural areas of northern Ethiopia that have seen heavy fighting in recent years remain heavily contaminated by unexploded ordnance. Weapons contamination poses serious risks to civilians, particularly children. The ICRC and the Ethiopian Red Cross are working closely with communities to raise awareness and reduce the risks, but much remains to be done.
