Description :
Mg Kyaw Thuya Hein, born with a clubfoot, received treatment at the ICRC's physical rehabilitation center in Kyaing Tong, which now enables him to stand firmly on both feet. At two years and seven months, he began his treatment in Loikaw. His parents, who came from Pekhon Township in southern Shan State, wanted him to be able to run and play like other children, and not feel discouraged at school. After five treatment sessions, his progress has exceeded their expectations, and he can now put both feet on the ground. They hope he will be able to lead a normal life, and encourage other parents of children with clubfeet not to be discouraged and to seek treatment at rehabilitation centers.
