Description :
Maryna recalls a call she received from an elderly man living in a village on the front line. The poor quality of the network made it difficult for him to reach the ICRC. He wanted news of his son, who had possibly been taken captive, and had to climb to the roof to make the call. He called several times and explained that he had to go up on the roof regularly in case he received a call about his son.
