If you’ve left your home and are now thinking it’s safe to return and rebuild your lives, remember to stay alert. Remind everyone in your family to be careful!

Go in alone and stay alert
Check your surroundings
Avoid touching or moving any suspicious object
Your children may be curious about these unexploded weapons - without realizing the risk.
Teach them to never touch unknown objects and to tell an adult immediately if you see a strange object!
What to do if you find a suspicious item
Don’t touch it don’t move it
Don’t throw anything at it or burn it
Quick action can save lives:
Warn your neighbours, and stay at a safe distance.
Mark the area,
Inform the authorities
And never try to move the object yourself.
Remember: long after explosives have been fired, the dangers remain.
