Description : Around a hundred people have lost the use of a limb as a result of armed violence or an accident on their migration route. Thanks to orthopaedic rehabilitation supported by the ICRC, these people can overcome their disability.
Rossman Esteban, a young disabled man, explains that his prosthesis has helped him a great deal. Another patient, Marlon Garcia, explains that it is a real joy to be able to walk again.
Between 2013 and 2014, the ICRC's Physical Rehabilitation Programme (PRP) supported 1,852 migrants or victims of violence.
