Description :
What was intended to be a temporary solution has become a vital necessity: the Red Cross field hospital in Rafah is today the only medical center still operating in this area of the Gaza Strip. Opened last May in response to the humanitarian emergency caused by the escalation of the conflict, it operates in extremely difficult conditions, under constant bombardment and with constant pressure on the safety of staff and patients. The flow of wounded is constantly increasing, while other health facilities are collapsing. Each admission is a race against time, and patients' stories are marked by survival, loss and uprooting. To continue their mission, humanitarian teams need safe and immediate access to Gaza.
