Description :
Kola Tembien, a place in the Central Zone of Ethiopia's Tigray Region, remains one of the most severe weapon-contaminated areas. The unexploded remnants of war have resulted in civilian injuries and deaths, posing a constant threat to daily life. Heavily reliant on subsistence agriculture, the community now struggle to farm safely, as large portions of land remain inaccessible and hazardous due to unexploded ordnance. Financial support from the ICRC brings hope and paves the way to self-sufficiency for these families.
