In collaboration with the Afghan Red Crescent, the ICRC is raising awareness about the dangers posed by explosive hazards to help prevent tragic incidents that can result in lifelong physical and psychological harm. In 2024, risk education sessions reached 243,000 people — including 149,000 children — equipping them with the knowledge to recognize potential threats and adopt safe behaviors.
