For two years, Gaza's civilian population has faced loss, forced displacement, and limited access to water, healthcare, and essential services. Families are separated, terrified mothers struggle to protect their children, and vulnerable patients endure harsh conditions.
Sarah Avrillaud, head of the ICRC sub-delegation in Gaza, explains that despite the efforts of the ICRC and the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the needs exceed humanitarian capacities. An urgent ceasefire and immediate access to humanitarian aid are essential. Lives can still be saved, but political action is needed without delay.
