Description :
Kizza John is an engineer with Umbrella Water and Sanitation, part of the Ministry of Water and Environment, and is responsible for the project.
This mountain marks the natural birthplace of the water supply network renovation project that will provide access to drinking water for some 60,000 people in the Bundibugyo district of western Uganda. The communities served by the network are located along the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the Rwenzori Mountains and the Sindila River in the background, which form a natural border between the two countries.
These communities are home to migrants and refugees fleeing armed conflict, who now have access to safe drinking water following the completion of a joint project carried out by the ICRC, the Uganda Red Cross Society, and the Ministry of Water.
