Description :
The International Committee of the Red Cross' (ICRC) orthopaedic and paraplegic centres assist victims of armed conflict on several continents. The film shows how the ICRC responds to individual needs of the war disabled by using apropriate means and methods. Indeed artificial limbs and orthoses must be made following local resources and techniques, so as to not only ensure inexpensive manufacturing costs but also allow for local maintenance or repair if necessary.
