Description :
Epidemics and deseases killed many thousand of people during the last years in Nigeria. Most of the problems are in depp relation with hygiene. That's one of the reason why the authorities and the Red Cross started the "monthly sanitation day" since approximately four years.
Every last Saturday of each month, the streets are blocked for the trafic in the whole country between 8 and 11.30 in the morning. During that time, the volunteers of the Red Cross and most of the population are cleaning up private and public areas.
