Description :
As part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Geneva Conventions, the ICRC in Tbilissi (Georgia) organised a mountaineering expedition of 4000 steps to one of the nameless mountains in the region of Kutaisi on 6 August 1999. The three flags of the Movement were raised and a commemorative plate was put on the summit reminding future climbers that they are on the “Geneva Conventions Peak”.
