Description : Rima Aghajanian’s husband was killed during the war with Azerbaijan, leaving her with seven children to support in her mined village in Nagorno Karabakh. In the aftermath of armed conflicts worldwide hundreds of thousands ofwar widows like her are unexpectedly left to find their way as heads of their bereaved families. In Nagomo Karabakh many of the poorest families in remote villages are receiving sheep and goats under an International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) programme designed to restore their self-sufficiency and Rima Aghajanian was one of the beneficiaries. Rough cut includes interviews and footage of the Aghajanian family, shots of ICRC distribution of sheep to poorest families, interviews with the village mayor of Kitchan and ICRC agronomist Etienne Peterschmidt explaining the ICRC’s animal distribution in Southern Caucasus.
