Description : The documentary is dedicated to the MinEduc programme launched at the end of 1994 by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) with the agreement of the Ministry of Education of Georgia. The main goal of the programme is to familiarize schoolchildren with universal values, sensitize them to kindness, compassion, assistance, etc. At the first stage ICRC Tbilisi prepared a supplementary manual for grade 6 “Know Yourself” and a corresponding manual for teachers. Manuals were produced in Tbilisi and distributed to all schools of the country in 1996. In 1999 another manual for grade 7 “What Enmity Has Ruined” was created and also distributed all over Georgia. The material contained in both textbooks has been included in the curricula of secondary schools of Georgia.
