Description : This video documents the development of the “Exploring Humanitarian Law” education modules in Northern Ireland, one of over a dozen situations around the world in which pilot versions of the modules were tested in schools and in youth groups. The modules encourage young people to explore humanitarian principles and provide them with an insight into global issues related to armed conflict, violence and humanitarian action. Exploring Humanitarian Law in Northern Ireland also shows how drama can be a powerful educational medium to raise awareness about such issues and to promote global citizenship among youth. This video was produced jointly by the British Red Cross and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
