Description :
1. 17-year-old Islam lost an arm and a foot in a booby-trap explosion. He’s one ofhundreds of people maimed by explosions in Chechnya and treated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in a recently opened orthopaedic centre - the first of its kind in the republic.
2. ICRC Director of Qperations Pierre Krahenbuhl meets with the head of the Chechen administration to discuss current humanitarian operations. During his visit he also met some of the 150,000 conflict victims assisted by the ICRC in the region.
