Description :
With nearly 2000 employees and a budget of 78 million dollars, with a planned expenditure of 112 million dollars next year, Sudan will be ICRC’s largest operation worldwide. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is providing relief and essential services to hundreds of thousands of residents and displaced people to preserve their lives and livelihoods. Apart from monitoring respect for IHL on the ground, the ICRC has made provisions to assist up to 500,000 people throughout Sudan next year by providing water, food, essential household items and medical care. This will be done in close cooperation with the Sudanese Red Crescent and other Red Cross / Red Crescent National Societies.
