Description :
Jean-Luc Blondel started his ICRC career in 1982 as a field delegate in El-Salvador and later worked in a number of other contexts. From 1992-1996 he was Regional Delegate in Buenos Aires.
From 1985 to 1990 and from 1996 to 2002, Jean-Luc worked in different positions, including Head of Division, for Cooperation with National Societies.
Since 2003, Jean-Luc Blondel has been the Personal Advisor to the President of the ICRC.
Jean-Luc Blondel will take up his new functions on 1st January 2009.
