Description :
Gereida is a village as well as a camp for about 130'000 displaced persons. The camp is run by the ICRC, which is responsible for food, health, water/habitat, protection and dissemination. The British Red Cross and the Australian Red Cross provide support, in coordination with the Sudanese Red Crescent.
The nurse and her nutrition outreach team are trying to raise awareness of basic hygiene among the residents. The aim is to prevent common hygiene-related health problems such as diarrhoea.
