International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President Jakob Kellenberger and Spanish Secretary of State for International Cooperation Soraya Rodríguez today signed the Fondo España – CICR de asistencia en contextos humanitarios, an agreement that formalizes Spain's financial support for ICRC operations. "We welcome this agreement since it formalizes the consistent and significant support Spain has offered the ICRC for its worldwide humanitarian operations," said Mr Kellenberger following the official ceremony, which was held at ICRC headquarters in Geneva.
