Description :
These are the solitary confinement cells for extreme punishnment at Pyla camp. The whole of the punishment block, consisting of new buildings, well appointed with lavatories, shower baths etc. was untenanted when I visited the camp, and appeared to have been so for some time, if indeed it ever had been used. Here all doors are shown open, with the commandant and one of the warders standing by.
