Description :
On the 6 August 2010 a violent cloudburst hit the region triggering flash floods and landslides wich washed away hundreds of houses and killed many people (nearly 190).
The Indian Red Cross Society and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies installed emergency water purification units operated by the National Disaster Water Response Team to provide drinking water to those affected by the cloudburst.
