Description :
A single mother who lost her arm in the last of Liberia's wars in 2003. Civilians were not spared from the brutality in Liberia's savage 14-year civil war. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed. Rape was commonplace. Children were abducted and forced to become fighters. Untold numbers were forced to flee their homes. Since 2003, peace has returned and efforts are focused on rebuilding the country. But the emotional and physical scars of war remain.
