Description :
The ICRC provides support to the Mexican Red Cross mobile clinic.

Tenosique, some 30 kilometers from the Guatemalan border, is one of the two main gateways for migrants from Central America en route to the United States. The trains to the country center leave from Tenosique. The majority of the migrants who pass through Tenosique come from Honduras; the others come mostly from Guatemala and Salvador. Most of them are between 16 and 21 years old.

The Mexican Red Cross mobile clinic provides basic health care to the migrants in three different places: the shelter for migrants "La 72" where the people can rest and recover before continuing their journey; two different places on the railways tracks that lead towards the north.
The Mexican Red Cross also supplies water and distributes food kits to the migrants.
