Caption : Udier, ICRC field hospital. This woman was evacuated together with her husband and her 10-year-old son to ICRC’s hospital in Ganyliel, after their village was attacked at night and they were shot. One of their six children, a seven-year-old boy, was killed. By the time she was evacuated, her leg had become badly infected and there was no option but to amputate it. For her recovery, she has been transferred to the ICRC Mobile Surgical Team hospital in Udier.

Description : The ICRC remains committed to provide medical care for weapon wounded in South Sudan. On the 14th of March, a new field hospital was officially opened in Udier. The first patients were transferred from Ganyleil on the 13th of March. The Mobile Surgical Team hospital has a capacity of 35 patients.
