Description :
This woman and her daughter spent a week in their basement because of the intensity of the bombing. They escaped unharmed, but their house was badly damaged. With the onset of winter, she is able to use the cash aid she received from the ICRC to buy firewood and repair the windows broken by the bombing.
Far from being the worst affected in the village, she explains that she would not have a chance to get through the winter without this help. She also praises the local community for bringing her wood in March 2022, when it was very cold.
In case the worst happens again, she still keeps food and other emergency supplies in her basement.
