Description : Barton had it built about 1891 with wood bought for building shelters following the Johnstown flood. It was first used as a warehouse, its bollowed-out walls in the hallway and movable partitions porviding space for storage of the Red Cross supplies. She had modified it in 1897 for use as living quarters and headquarters.
