Caption : Outskirts of Huambo, Cavongue therapeutic feeding center. The center opened at the end of November 1984 after that a survey revealed that 25% of the children under 6 have symptoms of severe malnourishment. To decide whether the children are admitted in the center, they are measured with a “quack stick”, a band that calculate an index using height and mid-upper-arm circumference to asses nutritional status of the children.
