Description : The hunger-strike was over on September 1st 9:30 p.m.. Director Inoue and Vice-Head Back shook hands. The man standing in the middle is Mr. Nakamura, Vice-Director, the Fukuoka Prefectural Japan-Korea Association; the man whose face is half seen is Chairman Hsu of the General League.
The hunger-strikers stayed here for a few days for medical treatment and went back to Omuda City at 11:00 a.m. on September 4th.
As they did not eat any foods at all for four days, some wives and children rushed to the scene on that day of conclusion of the agreement. If that agreement was not made on that day, all the family members were to come up to Fukuoka to join their husbands and fathers to conduct hunger-strike with them. I heard that the family members did not want to take meals even in Omuda during their men were carrying hunger-strike." (Caption: Japanese Red Cross)
