Description :
Since 2002, the ICRC started this programme to establish water systems in urban, then in peri-urban areas. The programme is focusing on areas where important numbers of refugees or internally displaced persons have resettled after 2001. These crowded neighbourhoods lack all the basic infrastructures. Through these water systems, the ICRC is providing the communities with safe water.
