Description : "First you catch a reindeer..." or make one, as Specialist Five William D. Hirschfield, a patient at the U.S. Army's 5th General Hospital here and son of Mrs. Emma E. Coons of 5121 West Nevada, Denver, Colorado, is doing. Specialist Hirschfield, a tank gunner with the Army at Crailsheim, Germany, helps decorate the children's ward of the hospital even though confined to his bed with his leg in traction. At U.S. military hospitals all over the world, American Red Cross Recreation workers such as Miss Lora Ann Peapples, daughter of Arthur L. Peapples of 264 Seneca Drive, Benton Harbor, Michigan, are helping American servicemen, at home or abroad, to have the merriest Christmas possible. And throughout the New Year, American Red Cross staff and volunteer workers will continue to give traditional Red Cross service to military personnel wherever they may be stationed.
