World AIDS Day exists for obvious reasons: despite successes in awareness, transmission and treatment, there is still a long way to go towards achieving the goal of “Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths.” In response to the recent rise of HIV transmission in Europe, the staff health team is leading a new mobilization campaign to promote HIV screening. The HIV workplace programme is available in 31 countries and provides free, confidential and voluntary testing. It also guarantees free HIV treatment and care for 14,000 ICRC staff and family members. By taking an HIV test, you protect yourself and your family.
