Description :
Since 2007, a Mobile Health Unit (MHU) is serving 29 villages in this area. The MHU is composed of a doctor and a driver cum medical assistant. They conduct medical check-ups and health awareness programmes for the community. The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is managing the programme with the financial support of the ICRC.
In the year 2010, the IRCS started a food security project in the area, from which 100 families benefited. In May 2011, the IRCS and the ICRC jointly conducted an assessment mission for the year 2011, continuing from the success of last year project.
