The media of South Asia has an important role to play in covering conflict, violence and the challenges faced by vulnerable groups. At times, reporting on these issues can influence the humanitarian situation on the ground. Bringing together senior representatives of media organizations from the region, a conference hosted by the ICRC and the Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi aims to advance discussion on these topics and facilitate the sharing of best practices. The audience consisted of students, academics, diplomats, senior editors and journalists.
The conference took place between the 8th and 9th of October 2013.
