Description :
The first aid training (FAT) programme focuses on training course participants to use locally available materials when administring first aid. Apart from the first aid backpacks handed out to participants at the end of their training there are likely to be few medical supplies on the front lines were fighting goes on, and medical facilities are likely to be some distance away. The programme is organised for all combatants, including armed opposition fighters, personnel of the NDS, (National Directorate of Security featured here), soldiers of the Afghan army and police, and medics.
