Description :
The registered families receive a voucher worth 100 USD, which they can exchange with businessmen for household items of their choice (for example: mattresses, buckets, jerrycans, clothes, iron sheets, soap, blankets, …) The prices fixed by the invited businessmen have previously been negociated with the ICRC. About one hundred volunteers of the Red Cross of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are participating in the organisation and the smooth implementation of this activity. In addition to this fair, the same families receive 30 kg of maize flour, 10 kg of beans, 5 liters of vegetable oil and 500g of cooking salt.
