Description :
Access to health care remains an important challenge for people in the north of Mali affected by armed violence. Despite some political normalization many of the health facilities remain ineffective because lack of medicines, equipment and training for medical staff. The Gao hospital, one of the major health facility in northern Mali, is supported in many ways by the ICRC, including with a medical team reinforcing the hospital staff.
