Sanaag. A man washes his clothes. He is among the beneficiaries of berkad (underground water tank) project in the region. The berkad is an important water source build by the ICRC and is mostly used by herdsmen and locals. In 2014, the ICRC improved traditional rain water harvesting facilities by constructing berkads in 16 locations in Puntland, Middle Shabelle, Lower Shabelle, Galgaduud and Mudug regions benefiting over 70,000 people.
