Description : ICRC occasionally supports extremely vulnerable families around the country to visit their relative detained in Pul-i-Charkhi prison in Kabul. ICRC pays transport from their place of origin, accommodation in Kabul and money for food. This program is organized on an ad-hoc basis for the people without any means who have not been able to visit their relative in years. In average, 3 families per month are supported. This is parallel to the main support of the ICRC to visits of families of detainees in Bagram prison (detainees in link to the conflict), a program in which an average of 400 families each month are visiting their relatives.
