Description :
Kim Thuy, 46 years old, an award-winning author based in Canada, returned to Malaysia with a Canadian film crew documenting her life story to visit the Malaysian Red Crescent that had helped her and her family in 1979 when they were in Malaysia as refugees. Kim and her family reached Malaysia after fleeing Saigon during the Vietnam War and were later resettled to Canada.
