Description :
Amin says: "I’m a tailor and I usually work at the market. It is now closed, so I can’t work. So many people are here. I sometimes worry we don’t have the capacity to help everybody."
When fights erupted in the town of Wau last week, thousands of people fled their houses searching for safety. While South Sudan Red Cross Society employees work hard to help those who need it most, many of them were themselves affected by the violence.
Armed clashes that started on June 24 and escalated the following day forced thousands of people in the town of Wau to flee. While the situation has remained relatively calm over the last week, most of the displaced don't feel safe enough to return to their homes: some are staying in large groups in places like churches and schools while the majority is scattered across various displacement sites outside the town.
