Description :
Displaced families live in 1'070 project collective shelter. 5000 families recently sought refuge in this settlement. Many of these families, as well as those displaced in the Al-Riadahy and Tishreen collective shelters, were then forced to flee again due to the ongoing fighting in Southwestern Aleppo, in the first part of August. Given current and past escalations in the area, some families have been displaced for the third or even fourth time.
The ICRC distributed essential assistance, including canned food and tarpaulins. Hot meals, bread packs and clean water were also provided in this area, and the ICRC installed water tanks, and carried out rehabilitation and maintenance works to ensure basic amenities function in temporary shelters.
