Description :
Many of those who live along the line of contact cannot leave as they care about their elderly relatives or loved ones suffering from illness or health problems.
At the time of the ICRC visit, the centre has 1596 residents, of whom about 500 people are elderly of over 80 years old and 297 with disabilities. Those include 67 persons with a disability of the first category (the most serious, according to Ukrainian legislation and medical standards), 86 people bedridden, 112 people who had a stroke and 32 oncology patients.
